A Washington, DC press photographer vents about the political wranglings in our Nation's Capital.
The latest effort by the Right to take focus off what matters.

Senator Clinton’s sex is a distraction from the real issues of this campaign. It’s just the type of “issue” the GOP loves to focus on: personality, private life, and whether you put your hand over your heart during the National Anthem. Geeze, it’s a lot easier to discuss if you like Mrs. Clinton than whether the planning was thorough for Iraq, or whether something could have been done to head off the current sub prime mortgage crisis — or even the price of fuel to heat our homes. By discussing Mrs. Clinton’s sex, we don’t have to discuss how to handle Iran, Pakistan, and Rwanda. We don’t have to talk about education and the current culture of “dropout factories”. We don’t have to discuss NIH funding, AIDS funding, or stem cell research. Or, healthcare. Or, global warming (if, of course, you believe in that sort of thing. Rush, the expert, says the jury is still out.)

And we certainly don’t have to examine the exporting of jobs to India and China.

Nope. We can focus on more important things. I know! I got it! A word of advice to the GOP: this current hand over the heart controversy for Obama is a real campaign ender! YOU CAN LAMPOON HIM! Let’s have a shady group formed expressly for the purpose (Ex-Anthem Singers Against Obama works) run some ads about him next! And then, move back to Hilary’s sex. PERFECT. Call Rove.

Well I was almost afraid to click on this but I decided to go ahead.  That is the way of the political machine obfuscate and direct attention elsewhere.  The candidates just have to stay on point.  I missed the hand over heart drama.  Sounds like the flag pin issue, a non-issue that they try to make an issue.

btw, that small font is hard to read.

Oh, yes, the "best political coverage on Television" was abuzz with the Obama "breaking news" situation Thursday. I hadn't noticed the font being so small -- that's an easy fix, thanks.
